Custody Avoided in Drink Drive Case

Published - Nov 11, 2022

Foster & Coleman recently acted for a Legal Professional charged with an offence of Excess Alcohol. The evidential breath sample reading was exceptionally high, and this together with a number of other aggravating features placed our client at serious risk of a custodial sentence and professional ruin.

We were able to compile a substantial and powerful bundle for mitigation purposes, and following extensive submissions by counsel the Court were thankfully persuaded to impose a community order and disqualification.

Our client was represented at the sentencing hearing by Miss Natasha Lake of 5 Paper Buildings
