We recently acted for a young man who was charged alongside two others with an offence of robbery. It was abundantly clear from the papers that the facts did not constitute such an offence, but as is far too commonplace these days the prosecution completely dismissed all representations that the matter should be withdrawn.
Following a six-day trial in the crown court our client was rightly and unanimously acquitted. His family were understandably delighted and were kind enough to send the following message:
'Dear Steve
I just wanted to say thank you so much to you and your team for all the hard work you did in the recent case with our son. I was incredibly impressed by the support that you gave, for example answering emails out of hours and your attention to detail. We really do appreciate everything that you did for us to get a sensible outcome. The whole experience was stressful and anxiety provoking, but the professionalism, kindness and care you showed was both reassuring and supportive. We felt very much in safe hands.
This has been my first ever experience with the law and, without offence, hopefully my last and I must say that your help and support was invaluable. Your understanding of the law and your ability to make sense of it for us was truly appreciated.
I would highly recommend your services to anyone. Thank you
Kindest regards'
